HOW DO I CHANGE MY NDIS PLAN MANAGER?
Check your current service agreement for notice requirements and the process for ending the arrangement. Then contact your preferred registered plan manager to discuss the service and how you will work together. A service agreement explains the plan manager's responsibilities and the assistance they will provide.

Switching checklist:
-
Review your agreement. Check the notice period and any handover requirements.
-
Choose your new plan manager. Discuss the service and agree on the new agreements.
-
Confirm the changeover dates. Give notice as required and agree when the current arrangement ends and the new one starts.
-
Check the NDIS connection. Ask your new plan manager what needs to happen before they can submit claims.
-
Coordinate invoices and notifications. Agree who will handle outstanding invoices and tell providers where to send future invoices.
CAN I CHANGE PLAN MANAGERS AT ANY TIME?
Yes. You can choose another plan manager during your plan. Check your service agreement for the notice required before your current arrangement ends. Choosing to switch and completing the handover are separate steps. Confirming the dates helps everyone understand when the new arrangement begins.
DO I NEED TO WAIT FOR MY PLAN REVIEW?
No. You do not need to wait for a plan reassessment to choose another plan manager. Your new plan manager must be connected to you and recorded in the NDIS system before submitting claims for your plan-managed funding. The connection arrangements depend on the system holding your plan.

WILL CHANGING PLAN MANAGERS AFFECT MY NDIS FUNDING?
Switching plan managers changes who handles the financial administration of your plan-managed funding. It is separate from asking the NDIA to reassess your support budget. Ask both plan managers to confirm the status of outstanding invoices. This helps your new team understand the funding information available in the changeover.
HOW LONG DOES SWITCHING PLAN MANAGERS TAKE?
The timeframe depends on your notice requirements, agreed changeover dates, new service agreement and the NDIS connection arrangements. Ask both plan managers to confirm the relevant dates and any remaining steps. This gives you a clearer timeframe for your circumstances rather than relying on a general estimate.
WHO TELLS MY PROVIDERS I HAVE CHANGED PLAN MANAGERS?
Agree with your new plan manager who will notify your providers and what assistance is available. Providers need the new invoice contact details and the date the arrangement starts. Keeping a copy of the notification gives you and the team a shared reference.
WILL MY SUPPORTS CONTINUE WHILE I SWITCH?
A change of plan manager concerns financial administration, rather than selecting different supports. Discuss the changeover with your providers and both plan managers. Clear dates, invoice details and a record of outstanding invoices help coordinate payments during the handover.
