Getting Help Locally

WHAT DOES MANAGING NDIS FINANCES ACTUALLY INVOLVE?
Paying provider invoices, submitting claims, tracking your budget against your plan and keeping records. How this gets done depends in whether your funding is self-managed, plan-managed like First2Care or NDIA-managed. If you use a plan manager, they monitor your budget, check and submit claims, pay providers and provide monthly financial statements. You still need to understand your plan and regularly check your spending to avoid overspending your support budgets.
IS PLAN MANAGEMENT THE ONLY OPTION IN SPRING HILL?
No. The same three national options apply here as they do anywhere in Australia: self-management, plan management or NDIA management. Plan management means a registered plan manager, such as First2Care, handles the financial administration for you.
IS PLAN MANAGEMENT THE ONLY OPTION IN SPRING HILL?
The financial administration a plan manager like First2Care delivers covers checking invoices against your budget, submitting eligible claims, paying providers, and keeping the records that the NDIS requires. If you need help with a specific invoice or want to check what's left in a budget category, you can contact First2Care directly rather than having to work it out yourself.
WHAT SHOULD I COMPARE BEFORE CHOOSING A PLAN MANAGER?
Consider what you need from the service and ask practical questions:

-
What does the invoice-processing timeframe cover: checking the invoice, submitting a claim or the provider receiving payment?
-
What budget and invoice information can you view through the portal?
-
How can you contact the team when you need an explanation?
-
What does the service agreement say about notice periods and outstanding invoices if you change plan managers?
-
Does the organisation provide other supports, and how does it identify and manage potential conflicts of interest?

These questions can help you compare services without relying on a processing number or promotional claim alone.

DOES MANAGING MY FINANCES THIS WAY COST ME ANYTHING?
Using a plan manager registered with the NDIA is covered when you choose plan management as the option you wish to use to manage your funding. Plan management is paid for separately by the NDIA under Improved Life Choices (Capacity Building). It does not come out of your other supports and costs you nothing out of pocket.
