Claims Review Officer
My position with First2Care is known as NDIS Claims Review Officer, basically meaning I get to work through the invoices we receive and make sure the clients and providers we work with get the most out of our services and their interactions with the NDIS. Working in this role means I get to use some of the skills I have to help a wide variety of people and I love that. I’m very new to this specific industry so I don’t have any major accomplishments in this world… not yet anyway.
However, coming out of almost 5 years of hands-on customer service and complaint management in an exceptionally large team in the retail sector, I’m excited to see how I can transfer these skills to help our clients and improve our business and teamwork. As someone that cares a lot for people in general, I love that this job gives me a chance to play a small part in helping so many people. More so, as someone that knows a group of people that rely on the NDIS for regular support, including my uncle, there is also a feeling of personal connection to the scheme and everyone it can help.
I currently study a Bachelor of Wildlife Science at UQ, where I get to have some hands-on experience with possums, skinks, snakes, spiders, dunnarts, frogs, gliders and so many other critters, a few species some people might not even see in a lifetime (side note – I might be a little animal obsessed…)
